These are instructions on how to use the xFSTK Downloader Tool to flash or install Stock Firmware on Android Devices supported by Intel SoC platforms.
How to install Firmware using xFSTK Downloader Tool
- Download and Install the Intel Android USB Driver on the Computer (if in case Intel Android Drivers are already installed on the computer, then SKIP this step).
- Download and Install the iSOC USB Driver on the Computer (if in case iSOC Drivers are already installed on the computer, then SKIP this step).
- Download Stock Firmware (ROM) of your Device (if in case you have already downloaded the Stock Firmware, then SKIP this Step or else you can find the Firmware on FirmwareFile or through Google).
- Download and install xFSTK Downloader on the Computer. Once the installation is completed, Launch the Tool.
- Once the Tool is launched, you will be able to see the following screen:
- Click on the MRD A0/B0 + MOOR A0 + CRC Tab:
- Click on the Options and Select Modify Settings:
- Click on the Enable GP Flag Override checkbox:
- Under the GP Flag Override value enter 0x80000807 and Click on the OK Button:
- Under Firmware, Click on the FW DnX browse button and select dnx_fwr.bin File:
- Click on the IFWI button and select the ifwi.bin:
- Under Operating System, Click on the OS Image browse button and Select the droidboot_dnx.img.POS_sign.bin or droidboot_sign.bin file (whatever is present, just select that) and Press OK button:
- Connect your Device to the computer (make sure it is Power Off). If your device auto powered on, please long-press the power key for about 8 seconds to shut it down, and then press the power key to begin downloading/installation.
- Click on the Begin Download button to start the flashing/installation process.
- Once your device is detected by the Flash Tool, it will automatically begin the firmware write/installation process. And at the end, you will get the Success message: FW+OS download completed! And your device will go to fastboot mode.
- Now, close the xFSTK Tool and disconnect your device from the computer and restart it.
Congratulations, Now your Android Device is successfully running the Stock ROM (Firmware) you have Downloaded.
Notes
[*] Take Backup: Take a backup of your data before using the xFSTK Tool because, during the flashing/installation process, your data will be removed permanently.
[*] Flashing Failed? While trying to Flash or install the firmware, you may face several failed attempts during Step#15. In that situation, you need to try with a different USB cable, different ROM, or in some cases, close the tool altogether, Restart the Computer and re-follow the entire guide.
[*] Compatible Driver: xFSTK Tool works perfectly with iSoc and Intel USB Driver. You should install the drivers first in order to run the application successfully.
