Gapps stands for Google Apps, which refers to a collection of pre-installed Google services that come with Android phones. These include apps such as the Play Store, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Search, Google Music, and Hangouts/Meet.
If you have installed a custom ROM on your Android device that does not include Gapps, you will need to manually download and install them to access Google services like the Play Store.

☝ Notes
- 👉 Always ensure that the Android OS version on your phone matches the version of Gapps you intend to install. For instance, if your phone runs Android 13, you should flash the Gapps version compatible with that version.
- If you accidentally install the wrong version of Gapps, you may need to fix your Google Apps. In that case, download the correct version of Gapps and flash it onto your device again.
- Some custom ROMs like CyanogenMod, AOKP, and MIUI do not include pre-installed Gapps.
