The Thor Flash Utility GUI is a cross-platform tool for flashing or installing stock firmware on Samsung devices. While it functions similarly to the well-known Odin Downloader, Thor’s standout feature is its native Linux support. It serves as the graphical interface for the Thor utility, which originally operated solely as a command-line tool.

The Thor Flash Utility GUI offers a streamlined experience for Samsung users. By providing native Linux compatibility, it eliminates the need for a Windows partition or virtual machine to manage device firmware.
Connect or Disconnect
Thor Flash Utility makes it simple to manage the connection between your Samsung device and your computer. After connecting your device via USB, clicking the “Connect” button opens the “Connect Device” window. Once selected, the tool automatically detects the device and displays its status in the log tab.
Odin Session
An “Odin Session” is the active communication bridge between the utility and your Samsung device. To initiate a session, select your device from the list of connected devices and click Start. The utility displays the real-time session status; once the process completes, clicking Stop Thor safely terminates the connection.
Flash Firmware
Whether you are updating your OS, fixing software bugs, or installing custom firmware, Thor simplifies the flashing process. Users can load the necessary firmware components using the standard BL, AP, CP, and CSC buttons. After clicking Start, the tool flashes the firmware to the device and provides live progress updates in the log area.
Setting Options
The utility offers several customisation options to tailor the flashing process. By clicking the Options button, users can select specific partitions or toggle various flashing parameters to suit their specific recovery or update needs.
Send Command
For power users and developers, Thor includes a Send Command feature. This allows you to transmit manual commands directly to the device, which is invaluable for troubleshooting or performing advanced low-level operations. Enter the command in the terminal and click Send to view the results in the output window.
