What is FRP Protection?

Factory Reset Protection (FRP) is a security feature available on Android devices. It was first introduced in Android 5.1 to prevent unauthorized use of a device after resetting its factory settings. FRP is designed to protect against theft or unauthorized access to personal data by making it more difficult for someone to use or sell a stolen device.

How to remove FRP Protection?

To remove Factory Reset Protection (FRP) on your Lava Z1S LZG402 smartphone, you must use the FRP Reset File and the SPD Research Tool. However, before we list the steps to remove FRP, please ensure that your device meets all the requirements listed in the prerequisites section. Once you have confirmed that your device meets all the requirements, you may proceed with the steps to remove FRP.

Steps to remove FRP Protection from Lava Z1S LZG402

  1. Install SPD/UniSoc Drivers on the Computer. If SPD/UniSoc Drivers are already installed on the computer, then SKIP this step.

  2. Extract the Lava Z1S LZG402 FRP package on the computer. After Extracting the Lava Z1S LZG402 FRP package, you will be able to see the following files:

  3. Extract the SPD Research Tool on the Computer. After Extracting the SPD Research Tool, you will get the following files:

  4. Double-Click on the ResearchDownload.exe to Launch the SPD Research Tool.

  5. Once SPD Research Tool is Launched, Click on the Load Packet Button and Load the Lava Z1S LZG402 FRP File (found inside the extracted file in Step#2).

  6. Connect your Device to the Computer using the USB Cable (make sure the device is Power Off).

  7. Click on the Start Download button.

  8. Now, the FRP Removal process will begin and may take a few seconds to complete.
